Women Empowerment programme

A new program for Women empowerment was initiated during the period, to encourage women entrepreneurship in rural areas. About 50 Women from low income family from Pallikara, Marayoor, Thrikkakara and Thodupuzha are covered under this scheme. Sugar cane cultivation, Provisional store, goat rearing, chicken and fish farms, tailoring and garments making are some of the projects taken up by them. These women are given financial assistance to start their project by K Chittilaappilly Foundation .
